TAYLORS ROAD/ KING’S ROAD INTERSECTION

After years of campaigning and working with the community for the removal of the congested Taylors Rd and Kings Rd roundabout, I am very proud to announce that the installation of a new intersection is now complete. The projected completed in January 2018 will improve traffic conditions in our electorate.

Previously, long queues at the Kings Rd and Taylors Rd roundabout prompted drivers to partake in unnecessary risk taking to enter the intersection. The $7.3 million upgrade will improve traffic flow on Kings Road and Taylors Road and reduce travel times, particularly during the busy morning and afternoon peak periods. With the addition of new traffic lights, slip lanes, bike lanes and pedestrian crossings, the new, raised intersection reduces traffic queues and creates safer conditions for commuters. This will mean that people get to spend less time stuck in traffic and more time with their families.

The Taylors/ King’s roundabout project is one of many Victorian road upgrades undertaken by the Andrew’s government that will put an end to some of our states worst bottlenecks.
