The touring exhibition of the Victorian Aboriginal Honour Roll was today officially launched by Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Natalie Hutchins, at Wyndham Vale Library.

Aboriginal young people from Geelong to Portland have joined in the fun at Geelong Football Club’s two day Gathering Camp, part of the Club’s commitment to closing the gap.

The Gathering covers health, wellbeing, culture and identity and is supported by community Leaders and Elders, local organisations, donors and corporate partners.

Attendees, aged 11-12 years old, are given the chance to explore Simonds Stadium, Torquay beach and the Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre as part of the program.

Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Natalie Hutchins, congratulated the Club on its commitment to closing the gap and its work with the local community.
