UPGRADING TAYLORS LAKES PRIMARY SCHOOL BRICK BY BRICK

Students at Taylors Lakes Primary School will soon have access to the first-rate classrooms and facilities they deserve, with works under way at the school.

Member for Sydenham today announced Interface Construction had been appointed to build the $7.526 million upgrade at Taylors Lakes Primary School, which will help it deliver a 21st century education.

The upgrade will include a competition-grade gym and upgrades to the netball hardcourts with security fencing, lights and seating. The North Block building will also be upgraded including landscaping at the school.

The Victorian Budget 2022/23 invests $1.8 billion to build new schools and improve existing schools to make sure our kids have the bright futures they deserve.

In the past eight years, the Victorian Government has invested $12.8 billion in building new schools and more than 1,850 school upgrades, creating around 17,400 jobs in construction and associated industries. The Victorian Government is ahead of schedule in its commitment to deliver 100 new schools between 2019 and 2026, with 75 new schools opening between 2019 and 2024.

The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every student can access a great local school and get a quality education.
