Aboriginal Honour Roll Roadshow Arrives In Horsham
The Victorian Aboriginal Honour Roll has arrived at the Horsham Library as part of its annual road show exhibition.
Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Natalie Hutchins, officially opened the exhibition, which was also attended by 2012 Honour Roll inductee and Advisory Panel member Uncle Kevin Coombs OAM.
Every year, the Honour Roll leaves its permanent home in Parliament House to travel around the state, displaying the achievements and contributions of its inductees.
The roadshow is designed to increase awareness of the contribution of Victorian Aboriginal people to their communities and to the state.
Ms Hutchins launched this year’s roadshow in Wyndham Vale, before the Honour Roll moved on to Wangaratta and then Geelong.
The Honour Roll will remain at Horsham Library until 11 June, before making its final stop in Healesville.
