FROM PARLIAMENT TO PARKWOOD GREEN: NATALIE HUTCHINS IS PRINCIPAL FOR A DAY

From the halls of Parliament to the classrooms of Parkwood Green, Member for Sydenham Natalie Hutchins will experience the classrooms of Parkwood Green Primary School, as Principal For A Day.

Ms Hutchins will spend the day shadowing Principal Kerry Simpson, meeting with staff and students, joining in the fun of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program and being a part of the school’s science classes.

Ms Hutchins joins more than 150 community leaders from government, business and the not-for-profit sector as part of Principal For A Day.

Principal For A Day gives business and community leaders an up close and behind-the-scenes experience of the Victoria’s government schools, and fosters relationships across the community.

The school’s values of ‘Honesty, learning, respect, caring and responsibility’ are shared by the Andrews Labor Government as it establishes the Education State and invests almost $4 billion in Victoria’s education and skills system, the single biggest boost to education funding in the state’s history.
