  • $49.8 million for Head Start Apprenticeships and Traineeships to give secondary school students the opportunity to learn their trade at school and get a job sooner
  • Improving accessibility of Watergardens station as part of a $16.3 million investment to improve some of Victoria’s busiest stations.
  • $396 million to fully fund Australia’s first standalone heart hospital, to provide the very best cardiac care for patients with heart disease, bringing the total investment to $543 million
  • $29.6 million to expand and reconfigure the Sunshine Hospital emergency department
  • Sunshine Hospital Emergency Department Crisis Hub as part of a $100.5 million investment in Mental Health Hubs.
  • $13.5 million for the implementation of the Aboriginal 10-Year Family Violence Plan to build a strong, integrated Aboriginal workforce and family violence prevention and response sector, which will create better access, and more appropriate family violence services for Aboriginal people
  • $82 million to encourage women and girls to participate in sport at all levels by making sure venues meet the needs of female players and officials, including developing and upgrading the Melbourne Victory Football Academy and Rugby League State Centre of Excellence
  • $226 million to expand the child protection workforce, and continuing after-hours emergency services and specialist intervention
